Spabo processes your personal data in accordance with the applicable personal data legislation at all times. These regulations protect you against the misuse of your personal data.

Spabo will only amend its privacy guidelines if we consider it necessary in order to administer your lease agreement, including in order to achieve the purpose of renting with Spabo. We will inform you of any amendments by publishing the updated version of the privacy policy on our website. The date on which the last version of this privacy policy was published is shown at the top of this page.

Spabo is committed to the privacy of all its tenants. In order to ensure that your personal data is processed securely and responsibly, we have established the following guidelines:


In order to manage your tenancy with Spabo, we must process certain elements of your personal data. We will use your personal data for, among other things, the following purposes: Sending invoices for rent, water use and where applicable power. Credit checks. The securing of collateral for the lease (deposits, guarantees). Sending invoices for legal fees in the event of any breach of your lease agreement. Updating tenant records. Administering your payments in relation to the tenancy. Maintaining the relationship between the tenant and landlord (management). Transferring electricity meters into your name. Other purposes necessary for safeguarding your interests. Spabo wishes to maintain an overview of all its tenants, which is also for use in relation to inquiries following the end of your tenancy. We only collect and process personal data that is necessary for the administration/management of your tenancy and to safeguard your interests. This includes, among other things, your name, customer number, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, the start date for any lease agreement, titles where applicable, your profession and details that provide an overview of your tenancy with Spabo. For example, this may include payment history relating to payment of rent and other costs, the transfer of subscriptions for electricity/network fees in the premises/flat being rented, and other details that are required in order to administer your tenancy and safeguard your interests in relation to your tenancy.


Spabo has a legal basis for processing your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act because your personal data is required for us to administer your tenancy and safeguard your interests in the tenancy, including Spabo’s ability to offer its services that are included as part of the lease agreement.


It is important to Spabo that no unauthorised third parties gain access to your personal data. Spabo therefore uses several forms of security technology to ensure good protection is in place to prevent unauthorised access to and the misuse of your personal data. All employees are also subject to a duty of confidentiality.


Spabo will only grant third parties access to your personal data if they supply services relating to the operation and maintenance of your lease agreement, as well as other technical solutions in this regard, (property/building), if it is necessary in order to administer/manage your tenancy. Examples of third parties who receive personal data include Visma, Amesto, Hafslund Nett and GET. In order to ensure that your rights are safeguarded, Spabo has entered into a separate data processing agreement with all third parties who are granted access to your personal data. These third parties will not be able to use your personal data for any purposes other than those we have agreed with them. Third parties are similarly obliged to enter into data processing agreements with their own subcontractors.


You have the right to request access to and rectification or deletion of your personal data. Furthermore, you may also request that processing relating to you is limited, and protest against any processing that takes place. Requests for access in relation to which of your personal data Spabo holds, or requests to exercise one of your other rights should be submitted by email to You have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority if you believe that we are processing your personal data in contravention of applicable privacy regulations.


Spabo does not retain personal data for longer than is necessary to fulfil the purpose of processing. Spabo will therefore delete any unnecessary data at regular intervals. Personal data that is necessary for the administration of your tenancy will be processed by Spabo for as long as you remain a tenant. Upon termination of the tenancy, regardless of grounds, your personal data will be deleted unless Spabo is required by law to retain this data. If you were a tenant at the time of your death, your name will be retained in our overview of previous tenants. The exception is if you have opted out of this.


When you visit, we install cookies that are necessary for our website to function and to provide form functionality. Currently we do not use cookies for analytical or marketing purposes.

Visitors to Spabo's websites provide their personal data on a voluntary basis. If you provide personal data such as an email address or phone number, we will process these in order to manage your inquiry and build a profile of your interests. Spabo does not share your personal data with third parties, only our suppliers. We ensure your personal data and rights are safeguarded through the use of data processor agreements.

We use an internal search engine on our websites so that visitors can easily find the information they are looking for. Search usage patterns are stored, but this information cannot be traced back to individual sers.
